Fernleigh cottages has been operating for 16 years by the same owners and still loving it.

The difference between Fernleigh and our competitors is its ‘unique’ in every way. It’s a mini resort with personnel service and cheaper than a motel.

This historical property consisting of the homestead and Granny’s Cottage, which was established around 1920 by one of the pioneers of this area, Mr. Edward Gough.

Your first glimpse as you drive into Fernleigh, apart from the homestead, is the huge 100 year old rare Gum trees shading the drive way. Fernleigh has kept the country feeling on this property and guests find it very relaxing, natural and love to wander around the beautiful gardens. One does let time pass by at Fernleigh with the open space and farm land, and with native animals passing though the property, like wombats, rabbits, kangaroos and native birds.

Another unique part of Fernleigh is we can provide accommodation up to 12 families in their own private bedroom for those special family reunions with plenty to do for the children so parents do get a holiday at Mansfield, Fernleigh as well.

Groups that try a different place every year seem to keep coming back to Fernleigh year after year. We have grown up with their children and some even call us Aunty and Uncle. A special treat is organised on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday by our local CFA. On Christmas Day, Santa Clause surprises the children with presents left at the office the night before and the look on their little faces saying “how did Santa know I was here”. At Easter, the Easter Bunny hops around handing out Easter eggs to everyone. The kids sure get excited when the CFA tanker drives up the driveway with its siren going and then they see Santa or the Easter Bunny. Many photos have been taken by our guests to go into their treasured holiday album. Location is great with Mt Buller and Lake Eildon and Fernleigh in the middle.

Services and Products Provided: Fernleigh provides very good service and spotless accommodation with the choice of 5, 3 and 2 bedroom cottages. Facilities include free use of the swimming pool, tennis court, basketball, volleyball, playground area, grassed area to kick a football or play cricket, all sporting equipment provided. Farm animals come up to the fence line for a tickle under the ears and the chooks are happy when they are fed. Yabbies can be tricked on a piece of string with meat at the end to come to the surface. Fernleigh even offers ‘free baby sitting service’ so mum and dad can go out for a well deserved romantic dinner. Our service is also extended to fishing clubs, trail bike groups, sporting groups etc.

Bodhi Cottages are located near Katoomba, Wentworth Falls in the upper Blue Mountains range of mountainous region in New South Wales, Australia. Katoomba is the main town and the administrative headquarters of Blue Mountains City Council. The Greater Blue Mountains Area is a World Heritage Site and was nominated for it’s unique natural values, & diverse biodiversity of its plant and animal communities. The vegetation mainly consists of Australia eucalyptus trees & for the overall unmatched beauty of it’s scenic landscapes.

Amidst this natural beauty & surroundings, Bodhi Cottages offer private self – contained cottages which are ideal for small group accommodation. In fact Bodhi Cottages have four different cottages of various accommodation types. They are Bodhi Falls, Bodhi Glades, Bodhi Grove and Bodhi View.

Bodhi Falls is an architect designed and newly built self-contained comfortable luxury retreat consisting of 3 bedrooms [one queen size bed, a double and two singles] and 2 bathrooms with spas. The unique location of Bodhi Falls cottage has direct access to the historic Charles Darwin Walk which is also near to The Valley of the Waters Reserve, both these walks offer spectacular views of landscapes including rain forests & cascading waterfalls.

The Bodhi Glades cottage is a fully accommodated, tri-split level home with three-bedrooms which includes a separate upstairs gallery. It has 2 bathrooms & a large spa too. Bodhi Glades is only a stroll away from the quaint villages of Katoomba, Wentworth Falls and Leura with have splendid dining, cafes & for shopping have antique shops, boutiques and   art galleries too.

Bodhi Grove is a four bedroom home for luxurious & elegant living, complete with cathedral ceilings, handcrafted furnishings, stunning arched windows and concertina doors. Bodhi Grove is ideal for small group accommodation as it has three bathrooms with two spas, a king size bed, a queen size bed, a double, two singles beds and a double sofa bed in the living area. The Bodhi Grove cottage home is very close to the Katoomba Falls Reserve and the the Scenic Skyway which offer spectacular views.

Bodhi View is a luxurious four bedroom cottage specially designed to provide panoramic views of the national reserve.
Bodhi View captures scenic views from it’s numerous windows which have been designed by the architect to encompass all the beauty of it’s unique perched location. Bodhi View is well suitable for a small group accommodation as this spacious holiday cottage has king size bed, two queen size beds, two king single beds and a double sofa bed in the living area.

All the above four Bodhi Blue Mountain Cottages are non-smoking & can accommodate up to 10 people max in each cottage. Every cottage has the following amenities; fully equipped kitchen, TV’s, CD player, DVD, video, electric blankets and a BBQ facility too.

The Ridge is a cosy private place & is ideal for Hunter Valley honeymoon accommodation & gateaway. It consists of a single bedroom split level & open plan cottage designed for couples only. The Gums cottage is a perfect Hunter Valley Accommodation & Romantic Getaway and this cottage has 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, so it is ideal for two couples traveling together. The living room seperates both the spacious bedrooms for privacy.
The Creek is a tri-level elevated cottage which is again an ideal Hunter Valley Romantic Getaway Accommodation. During spring season the Cedar Creek runs underneath this cottage & adjacent are walking trails which lead to hidden picnic spots.

The Hunter Valley Accomodation Packages from Cedars Mount View include helicopter flight to Bimbadgen Estate or Amandas on The Edge Restaurant and a return scenic helicopter flight back to the cottage. The other packages are Hot Air Ballooning Package, a Decadent Degustation Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Package and a Victorian Romance Package too.
